The MFWI Summer Program

Students enrolled in any major field at MWU may attend the one-month Summer Program at MFWI. The goal is to upgrade the participants’ English skills and knowledge of American culture through positive experiential learning in nature and in the community. An orientation to Spokane, a camping trip to Northern Idaho, and trips to Glacier Park and a farm in Eastern Washington are unique features of this program. Three week-long themes are included in the afternoon American Studies course: Family, Northwest History, and the Environment. The morning classes are designed to develop and extend these themes through readings and classroom activities.

The Mukogawa Fort Wright Institute Summer Program is an educationally rich 4-week long English program full of wonderful opportunities to learn English and experience American culture. At the end of the program students visit Los Angeles and Disney Land.
